Background
Part of the family Picidae, woodpeckers are considered near passerine birds.
They live in forests or woodlands.
Woodpeckers do no inhabit Australia, New Zealand or
Madagascar
They have strong bills for drilling into trees
The diet consist of small insects from inside of trees,
and tree sap.
